Lake Havasu Art Show
Jan & I checked out “Art at the Lake” on Friday afternoon.
Jan is a member of the Havasu Art Guild (not to be confused with Dune’s spice guild) who sponsored the art show.
Besides watercolor (Jan’s current interest), there were works in oil, acrylics, mixed media, . . .
While Jan talked with other art class members, I wandered around eating hors d’oeuvres and taking photos:
Remember, the actual artwork looks much better than these photos.

I see some very professional artwork. Jan, is your artwork displayed? Thanks for sharing. Kath
The show was a success. I helped out and am a guild member, but I wasn ready to submit my work to be judged. Perhaps next year I will have something that i love and feel is at a level that warrants showing.
I’m impressed with some of the pieces of artwork. Very very nice. Yesterday, I attended a canoe/kayak show called Canoecopia in Madison, WI, and there was one (I believe the only one other than a photographer) artist there (Geri Schrab) who was selling watercolors and prints of her work. She takes photos of petroglyphs and pictographs and then does her own interpretation of them in watercolor. Her website is http://www.gerischrabstudio.com and she lives in De Forest, WI. She had some really nice work and it seemed to fit in with this huge kayak/canoe and accessories show. Good to see how you are both enjoying your senior moments.
