The Great Parker Dam Pontoon Boat Expedition

On December 2nd we rented a pontoon boat with a 150 HP engine !!! and headed down the Colorado River towards Parker Dam with our two friends Jim and Marianne.

We were hoping for 7o-degree temps, but got low 60s instead. Brrrrrr. Lots of wind chill.

The trip was a couple of hours long from the Crazy Horse Campground Marina to Parker Dam and then back and under London Bridge . . . cold, but we loved it . . . here’s the movie . . .

It was good to see water that is not frozen. There are some hardy souls in heavily-insulated wetsuits that are surfing in Lake Michigan. Apparently, it is the best time of year for that. I’ll have to take their word for it. I like that you have that big river to navigate and can probably travel a distance. BTW, it’s 6 deg. here on this night. HEY!!! How about those PACKERS? Kath

    • Since Rogers broke his collar bone, it’s been hard for me to watch the Packers, because . . . well, you know.

But Jan insisted on checking on the Cowboy game every once in a while — even when the Packers had only 3 points.

Glad Jan did that because the game took a GREAT turn, especially in the final minutes.
