Glacier To Yellowstone

GPS, don’t lead us astray (click on map to enlarge)

THE ROAD FROM HELL

We left Glacier National Park on Friday, August 9th.

Almost as soon as we hit the road, it (the road) turned bad. Very bad in spots.

Driving to Choteau, MT

MONTANA THE BEAUTIFUL

After an overnight in Choteau Mountain View Campground, we headed for Helena, MT and discovered an incredibly beautiful stretch of American road . . .

Yellowstone Holiday is a very nice park, stayed there when most everything closer was filled, but we took 287 on north. Good park in Ennis, MT, also, if you ever go that way again.

The video is of the section where they lead us and clearly knew it was one lane. Unfortunately, afterward, what was supposed to be two way was just as bad, with frequent “pavement ends” signs. At one point I had to stop to let traffic from the other direction pass us. It was really rough.

Just missed you at Heart of Glacier. We went north from st Mary to 464 to browning to miss that construction on 89. Had already done it once and it was no fun.
Have been following your posts for several years, enjoying them!
