Snow Day

We took a drive from Bishop, CA to Lake Sabrina and then South Lake.

Bishop’s elevation is about 4,000 ft while both lakes are at about 9,000 ft, so it’s a lot cooler up at the lakes.

It was about 50 miles round trip, and it gave our dog Flirt a chance to see snow again — the last time was about 3 years ago.

She remembered.

Take a look under the May 2015 archives and you will see extensive photos and videos of the parade! It is wonderful! If you want to visit during the week of Mule days, which runs from the Tuesday before Memorial Day through Memorial Day, make your reservations early. It is well worth a visit.

Gotta say it will be awhile before I want to revisit winter since I’ve finally recovered from five months of it. However, I see the merit in living where you do since you can choose to visit any season depending on your need. Looks like Flirt had some fun and maybe both of you as well. We had lots of wind here last night with an F1 tornado in Fond du lac County. Looks like no serious damage and no one was hurt. HOWEVER, the storm season is here. Jan, you’re looking good; hope you’re feeling as good too. Keep having fun. Kath
