If You Like Mules . . .
Then you’ll love Mule Days.
This Saturday Jan & I drove into Bishop at about 9am to get a spot for the 10am Mule Days parade.
Not much of a crowd at first so we just wandered around, but when the parade started, people came out of the woodwork.
We stayed for about an hour and took these videos (narrated by the parade master of ceremonies) . . .
OMG Tom, Jan, that was wonderful to watch! Iâve got tears in my eyes.. such magnificent horses & mules.. Wow!
I think seeing all the Forest Service teams with their trail horses, pack mules and fire fighting Hotshots got to me. Living here makes me appreciate these wonderful people and animals more than anything. Especially when we saw the devastation a fire brings.
Dang!! Sorry I missed it. Happened to notice all the 10-gallon hats by the parade watchers and wondered if you and Jan will invest in them since becoming Westerners (as opposed to Midwesterners). Had the furnace going the other day but today was great. It’s spring and the flowering trees and shrubs are loaded with colorful blossoms. But sadly. we have no mules. Kath
Great videos. Loved the Percherons. You and Jan should definitely invest in 10-gal. hats.
Love the gatherings the towns have……saw the best sky FULL of stars at Tamarack Lodge ……think it’s on Lake Mary or one close by….look up…isn’t it beautiful!

Wonderful! Parades are great. The announcer did an excellent job of informing. How was the weather?
Weather has been warmer lately — not cool & damp. I heard that last year it was 25 degrees at this time.
