Ducks
There are two duck families that hang around our campground pond. They go up and down the stream that feeds the pond, grazing and eating as they go.
However, since the stream goes under the campground road, the ducks have to cross the road to get to . . . (you know the rest).
And it’s a busy road.
So as I was watching the ducks one day . . . 5 chicks starting crossing, but there were 2 chicks left, so mom went back . . .
I stopped filming because there was a Ford F250 at my back, and I gestured to him to stop.
The ducks (mom + all 7 chicks) made it across ok, and I filmed them downstream . . .

There is nothing cuter than baby ducks. And that duck mom can count……….she knew all her little guys weren’t with her at first. That is one sweet family. And thanks to you, the duck family made it across the road. Thanks, duck savior. Kath
OMG Tom.. Nature can be so harrowing at times. Glad the outcome was OK!

I love the way the little dudes hustle after their mom. Very cute. Life is pretty dangerous for all wildlife, unfortunately…. Great videos and right up my alley since I love waterfowl and other birds and photograph them whenever I get the chance.
True about harrowing for these little ones. Last night we counted six left with their Mom in the pond. They are so precious.
