We Opened a Window!
The last time we were able to open a window in our park model was May.
Since May, it has either been triple-digit hot, or (for the last 2 months) too humid + too hot. Except for early morning or late evening, we’ve been living inside our little park model with the AC on full.
It reminds me of being stuck indoors during Wisconsin winters . . . different climates, same results.
Needless to say, it was great experiencing fresh air again. Plus, now we’re able to hang out on our porch and watch the world go by with our dogs.
IN OTHER NEWS . . .
We took our RV out of inside storage, and parked it at our campground. We’re cleaning it up for outside storage over the next several months.
Finally, here’s a video of Ellie and Flirt playing:
Hurray! The windows are now open !! Love the dogs fighting video. Flirtâs long tail feathers are very dramatic.. so Oooo La La!
Mary H.
love the half-hearted play, as though they’re thinking…..h’mmmmmmmm, it’s not too hot, so I think I can, I think I can!

Know how you feel to open up your place and let the outside air in. Heat along with high humidity is a deal breaker for me. I wilt easily, I guess. But I rarely close all windows, even in winter. I LOVE a cold bedroom at night. Of course, I draw the line at getting snowed upon INSIDE. Bet your doggies like the cooler temps. Big signs of autumn here with leaves turning bright colors and some leaves falling. Grass is still a bright green carpet. Since we have wooded areas to the east and south and a creek running alongside our apartment complex, we are getting occasional visits by deer. They also love the low-hanging berries on some trees and shrubs. One of the neighbors is taking in two feral cats at night. These are animals that have lived outside for more than five years. Our feeding area for the birds is visited nightly by raccoons and the cutest little skunk. Believe me, EVERY animal leaves that little guy along. Wouldn’t you? Hello to all from the nature site. Kath
