Cheyenne Mountain State Park — Colorado Springs, CO

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

Made it. Our drive from Limon, CO to Colorado Springs, CO was uneventful except for a wrong turn in downtown Colorado Springs during Lunch Hour rush. My bad.

We arrived at about 1 pm Mountain Time. Elevation = 6427 feet — we (and the dogs) are feeling it.

The park is spectacular — hard to believe it’s “just” a state park as we have 50A full hookups, a concrete pad, a patio, and stellar views of Colorado Springs and Cheyenne Mountain.

We’re here until Friday.

Whew!! I’m glad you’ve arrived at your destination and it’s very scenic. But then, Colorado is quite scenic. Looks pretty dry too. So are you both kicking back, feet up and lighting up some weed?? It’s legal in CO, right? Happy trails, Kath

    Yeah!!!!
So glad you’re safe and sound in Co. About the altitude…..just do things a little slower and you’ll be ok. It looks absolutely beautiful……great views.

    have fun, love, nancy j

in looking at my Co. map to see how close you were to Longmont, Co. saw some spots to see:
So. Springs Fine Arts Museum,, Co. Car Museum, Garden of the Gods, Cave of the Winds, Flying W Ranch, Seven Falls Santa Workshop and pottery tours………might be fun.

nancy j….who at the moment is about to start the work of the day.

    have fun!
