River Walk & the Alamo

River Walk Area (click to enlarge)

We drove to down town San Antonio and went to the River Walk area first because we were hungry. We ended up splitting an enchiladas meal at an outdoor cafe. The meal included the best tortillas we ever had.

After lunch we took a boat tour of the River Walk . . .

When the tour finished, we walked over to the Alamo . . .

A warm and scenic place. And the shot of the Alamo puts it in perspective. For some reason, I thought it would be much larger than it is. Envious of your warm weather but today there’s hope for some here. Kath

Yes, the Alamo was smaller than I expected, but what a great tree, a true beauty, a live oak.

The ostrich encounter was fun to watch. The couple rolled up their car window fast and had to leave when it tried to get in through the open sun roof.
