Weird Weather

On Thursday afternoon, we took a short drive up Highway 168 into the mountains.

Into the Snow

Snow Day

We weren’t sure what to expect because lately the weather has been cold and wet.

Sure enough, as we climbed higher the temperature kept dropping and at about 8000 feet . . .

We skedaddled back to Bishop because the road we were on had some pretty steep stretches, and we didn’t want to play slip ‘n slide.

Aw c’mon, you missed snow. And you can see it here right up to June without traveling to 8000 feet (500 feet here). Good call getting off the mountain to avoid those icy roads. All the flowering trees are blossoming and the lilacs are incredibly fragrant. Saw an Indigo Bunting the other day…………….a treat for the eyes. Besides being beautiful, they have a beautiful song. Put the hummingbird feeder up and the hummers found it within an hour. Keep having fun. Happy trails. Kath
