French Fire
7/13/24 – the fire is now 98% contained.
7/7/24 – the fire is now over 50% contained. Whew! Dodged another bullet.
So we arrived at our next campground (Wallicot River RV Campground & Resort in Ilwaco, WA) early Friday afternoon.
Soon after we arrived, Jan received a text message from a friend of hers at Idlewheels RV Park, our home base. The friend told Jan that a fire had started near the Mariposa High School yesterday the 4th and was now 843 acres and was only 15% contained.
Needless to say, we’re watching this fire very closely.

OMG… I wager some idiot decided it would be fun to set off fireworks.. ??!! GRRRRR !!!!! At any rate, glad you are safely away from that area Tom & Jan! And yes, I’m sure you are on high alert about the fire. While here in Wisconsin, the almost daily rain is starting to wear thin. Granted everything is very green.. but, c’mon.. maybe just rain every other day.. ?? Whiny Sister Mary
