French Fire

7/13/24 – the fire is now 98% contained.

7/7/24 – the fire is now over 50% contained. Whew! Dodged another bullet.

So we arrived at our next campground (Wallicot River RV Campground & Resort in Ilwaco, WA) early Friday afternoon.

Soon after we arrived, Jan received a text message from a friend of hers at Idlewheels RV Park, our home base. The friend told Jan that a fire had started near the Mariposa High School yesterday the 4th and was now 843 acres and was only 15% contained.

Needless to say, we’re watching this fire very closely.
